Change Can Program
Change Cans Can Change Children's Lives!
The scriptures talk about "crumbs that fall from the rich man's table". Well that is not the idea for the change can program. At Shults-Lewis we believe in giving our best to serve these children and we find most Christians are happy to help by giving their best as well.
Annual Day Brought New Designs For Change Cans

Decorate Your Change Cans

Watch For Gerald's Big Red Van on Annual Day
From January to September, Shults-Lewis operates an organized change drive we call Change for Children Campaign. Many people and churches save their change for the children year around. The program helps us provide the needed supplies for the school year; clothing, books, paper, pencils, etc. Starting in 2009 we are making it even easier for your congregation to participate. Gerald will be picking up your change cans when he comes for the commodities. Watch for the Big Red Van.

You can call 800-462-0513 or email us for a change can to be mailed to your home. We hope to gather $40 from each can to reach a budgeted amount of $75,000. If you want to save the expense of a can being mailed to your home, you can create your own change receptacle. Be creative and let your children or grandchildren help in this endeavor.
Often we see change cans that have been "modified" for individual Sunday School Classes. These cans are cleverly decorated and are quite attractive.
This program is not like the widows two mites because many people send us large checks. There are congregations that challenge each other to see who can gather the most coins (or money). One of our most enjoyable efforts is seeing the unity, fun and excitement that comes as a result of this change drive.
Shults-Lewis will mail out boxes of coin cans with 20 or 10 cans in each box. How many boxes can your congregation handle? Call or email us for more details or to tell us how many boxes or cans to send you.
For the price of coffee or a can of pop a day a tax-deductible donation can be a big blessing to the children.
